Description: Arnab Chakrabarty now offers one-on-one sarod lessons to students of all levels worldwide! The focus of these lessons is to enable the learner to attain technical skills rapidly, and to inculcate in them, good musical taste through traditional compositions of the Seniya-Shahjahanpur and Etawah gharanas. The initial skill-acquisition phase consists largely of rote-drills involving scales as well as pre-composed taan and toda material in a set of 20-25 ragas. Thereafter, regular discussion of theory and aesthetics are initiated but this sequence may vary as per the student’s specific needs.
